ENAGRA Project aims at modernization of curricula at four Partner agricultural Universities in Russian Federation and in Ukraine. It will contribute towards the Project wider objective defined as “Ensuring targeted Partner Countries universities to gain capacity to offer education targeted towards the changing needs of the economic environment? This wider objective is consistent with higher education system reform in Russian Federation and in Ukraine, following changes in legal and regulatory framework for education.
Existing knowledge and expertise of Project consortium members will be explored and used for successful project realization. It will combine Russian and Ukrainian Partners knowledge of agricultural and ecological problems of countries economies development with EU universities expertise in advanced environmental sciences and educational technologies. This cooperation will lead to harmonization of Partner countries higher education systems with European one and it will directly support implementation of Bologna process in both Partner countries. These international harmonization aspects are directly presented in Institutional Development Plans of Partner Universities as their future priorities. Specific Project objective "To bring three cycle structure curricula and teaching methods at Project partner universities, in the priority discipline of environment, into line with the Bologna requirements by June 2011" is very relevant in the context of Partner Universities modernization and adaptation of their educational capabilities towards reformed countries economies. And, as it was presented in section III. la proposed ENAGRA Project also corresponds to Tempus regional and partner countries priorities. Following outcomes are foreseen to be achieved during 3 years of planned Project implementation:
- Developed/modernized three cycle curricula at Partner Universities
- Institutional capacity building — upgraded Partner universities capacities
- Pilot student training
